Cougar Card

Cougar Card Services is no longer a freestanding office. Rest assured! All of your Cougar Card needs will be handled through Campus Services HQ, a helpful new resource for information and answers to any questions you have about campus housing, dining, vending, your Cougar Card, campus parking and transportation.

Cougar Card information can still be found here and via the navigation menu on the left.

If you need to replace your Cougar Card after regular business hours, please go to Public Safety (81-B St. Philip Street), where they will assist you. Public Safety is not equipped to process payments therefore the replacement fee of $20 will be posted to the student eBill. The bill should be paid promptly via the eBill online.


Connect to campus life at the College of Charleston by using your Cougar Card to access events, facilities, and services. The Cougar Card is the official College of Charleston identification card. It is issued to all members of sample of student Cougar Cardthe campus community.

Your first Cougar Card is free! To obtain it, please be prepared to present one of the following unexpired, government-issued forms of photo identification:

  • Driver’s License
  • Non-driver ID Card issued by DMV
  • U.S. Green Card
  • Passport book or card
  • U.S. Military ID Card

Please carry your Cougar Card with you whenever you are on campus to identify yourself as a member of the campus community.

New Cougar Cards for Fall 2020!

The College has adopted a new Cougar Card with lots of benefits. It is faster, even more secure and easier to use – with both contactless and swipe functions. All students and employees will get new Cougar Cards starting fall 2020. Your first new card is free!

Students should pick up their Cougar Card at Campus Services HQ at 162 Calhoun Street. If you need your card and cannot make it to the office during regular business hours, please contact HQ to coordinate pickup after hours. Cards are not mailed for security purposes; all students will need to show a government-issued ID or old Cougar Card for pickup. 

Most employees will get their new cards through an office/department liaison. Employees were sent an email 8/24/2020 with detailed instructions on who to contact for their area. If you are unable to find this information, please email Campus Services HQ at campusservices@cofc.edu and we will be happy to assist you.

Meal Plans for Fall 2020

Meal plans are convenient, flexible, and loaded with options. Your meal plan includes dining locations all across campus with a range of menus and offerings. You’ll get guaranteed value, whether you eat on campus three times a week or three times a day! To review the meal plan options visit Dining Services. Web Deposit Instructions to Add Cougar Cash or Dining Dollars

Deposit funds to Cougar Cash or Dining Dollars online using the eBill system, funds will be available within two hours.

Students: Access your eBill through MyCharleston, click on the Academic Services tab then open the eBill link. Go to the Deposits tab, select the current term and Cougar Cash or Dining Dollars. Enter the amount and preferred payment method. Confirm to process.

Authorized Users: From www.cofc.edu select MyCharleston located on the top border of the page. The Welcome to MyCharleston page will display. In the left column are Quick Links. Select the link for eBill and logon. Go to the Deposit tab, select the current term and Cougar Cash or Dining Dollars. Enter the amount and preferred payment method. Confirm to process.

Employees: Access your eBill through MyCharleston, click on the My Accounts tab and open the eBill link at the bottom of the page. Go to the Deposits tab, then select to deposit either Cougar Cash or Dining Dollars. Enter the amount and preferred payment method. Confirm to process.

Riding With CARTA

CARTA (Charleston Area Regional Transportation Authority) service, on all routes, continues to be free for College of Charleston employees and students! Simply show your Cougar Card to the driver as you board the bus. A separate pass is not required. You must be a student enrolled in the current term or an active employee to take advantage of this free service. Information about bus and shuttle schedules may be obtained online at ridecarta.com.
