Connect to campus life at the College of Charleston by using your Cougar Card to access events, facilities and services.

The Cougar Card is free for all College of Charleston employees. If you are an employee who is enrolled in classes at the College, you will not be issued a Cougar Card identifying you as a student. Please continue to use your employee card as your campus card.

Faculty/Staff Meal Plan or Dining Dollars Account

The Faculty/Staff Meal Plan provides 25 meals to use on campus anywhere Meal Taps are accepted. This includes our all-you-care-to-eat dining locations, City Bistro and Liberty Fresh Food Co., and Marty’s Place, our quick-service restaurant specializing in vegan and vegetarian menus that are prepared kosher style with all kosher ingredients. You can also get delicious breakfast options at Einstein Bros. Bagels and select grab-and-go items at our POD Express locations.

The cost of the plan is $160 - only $6.40 per meal! Meals will not expire during the term of your employment.

You can sign up for a plan anytime throughout the semester via CampusDish (and it will be on your Cougar Card the next business day) or by visiting Campus Services HQCampusDish offers a payment plan to spread the cost of the plan into four equal payments of $40.00.

For a la carte purchases, employees may use their Dining Dollars account or cash or credit card. 

Discounted Purchases at the College of Charleston Bookstore

Faculty and staff receive a 10% discount on many items. Just show your Cougar Card to the cashier to take advantage of the savings. 

Campus Recreation Services

Use your Cougar Card to gain access to the Johnson Center Gym and workout area free of charge.

Faculty and staff are also welcome to purchase access to the George Street Fitness Center for a non-refundable fee of $50 each period.

Fees can be paid via Marketplace. Use your Cougar Card to gain entry on the business day following payment. Spouses and dependents of employees are not eligible to use this facility. 

Library Privileges

Active Cougar Cards are required for faculty/staff to tap into and out of the Addlestone Library. The Cougar Card functions as a library card when presented at the Access and Instruction Desk to check out materials. Each semester, faculty and staff members are allocated $15 of free printing. 

Secure Discounted or Free Non-Athletics Tickets

Faculty and staff receive a discount on the purchase of a general admission ticket for College of Charleston School of the Arts Department of Theatre and Dance productions, as well as many other events. Use your Cougar Card at the door to receive your free or discounted ticket or purchase non-Athletics tickets in advance through the George Street Box Office.

Transportation Services Free of Charge

Charleston Area Regional Transportation Authority (CARTA) buses may offer a convenient alternative to driving your personal vehicle to campus. Service on all routes is free for College of Charleston employees.  Simply show your Cougar Card to the driver. For current schedules, visit ridecarta.com. Sit back, relax and enjoy the ride!

College of Charleston Bike Share is a safe, healthy, sustainable and fun way to get around Charleston. As a Bike CofC participant just swipe your Cougar Card to check out a bike from the Stern Student Center information desk and return by the end of the day. The service is free! Discounted Parking

Campus Services HQ offers reduced-price garage parking for employees who only drive to campus occasionally. The reduced price of $10 per day will be valid on a first come, first served basis in the St. Philip (PG) Garage. Use as a Personal Debit Card for Your Cougar Cash Account

The Cougar Cash account allows you to draw on pre-deposited funds to purchase products and services on campus. To make a purchase just tap your Cougar Card at any participating location and the funds will be withdrawn from your account. Read more about where Cougar Cash is accepted.
